OK. So KK’s birthday is on Tuesday but that’s the day we leave for NYC for Showcase. So we went out for dinner tonight. There were some really winning pictures from tonight. But this one made me laugh instantly so:
WINNING. She’s trying to replicate the face of the woman in the Gatorade ad behind her. Obviously, she succeeded. And she’s winning.
Today, Alex asked, “When is this winning thing gonna end?” The answer is, “NEVER!”
Today I was gonna work out. But I ended up sitting on the porch with Meagan and then Jilly and then Katie. And I talked with them for the longest time. We sat here on the porch while it was raining, and we just talked. It was super winning. Yeah, I should’ve worked out. But I really thought that sitting and talking was just as valuable. Meagan said some really kind things to me. Very grateful.
Today was my last day of Improv. I had Belt’s. (That’s ice cream. WINNING.)
This guy named Davy Rothbart made a documentary about his love life called My Heart Is An Idiot and I wanna see it REALLY bad. He also has this magazine called FOUND magazine and it’s a bunch of notes and stuff that he has found randomly and he publishes them. Sounds pretty winning.
Today for lunch I made chicken salad: mayo with chicken bits, grapes, raisins and green peppers. SO WINNING.
I’m going to bed before midnight.
Hm. Something’s missing today. I can’t quite figure it out.
NYC on Tuesday: 5 days. I won’t be perfect, but I know what I need to improve. YAY FOR HOPE.
“In New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made. Oh, there’s nothing you can’t do now you’re in New York. These streets will make you feel brand new. Big lights will inspire you. Let’s hear it for New York, New York, New York.”
